On Sunday, January 29, 2012, the Christ Church Annual Meeting will be held in our Worship Center at 11:45 AM. Items on the Agenda will include:  2011 highlights and financial reports, the election of new Council Members, approval of the 2012 Mission and Ministry Budget.

2011 Annual Meeting   

On Sunday, January 30, 2011, the Christ Church Annual Meeting will be held in our Worship Center at 11:45 AM. Items on the Agenda will include:  2010 highlights and financial reports, the election of three new Council Members, approval of the 2011 Mission and Ministry Budget, the first vote to ratify a new Christ Church Constitution and By-Laws, updates on the progress of our property and relocation plans, and more!

Congregational Meetings - May 16, 2010

Two Special Congregational Meetings were held back-to-back on Sunday, May 16 at 11:45 AM.  2/3 majority of voting members were present. The motion and vote result at each meeting, respectively, were as follows: 

• “The congregation of Christ Lutheran Church in Otsego, MN, hereby ratifies its vote of January 31, 2010, to terminate its relationship with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.” 
  Vote Results - 116 in favor 0 opposed.

• “The congregation of Christ Lutheran Church in Otsego, MN, hereby votes to affiliate with Lutheran Congregations in Mission for Christ (LCMC). The Church Council is hereby authorized to finalize all documents related to this affiliation.”
  Vote Results - 116 in favor 0 opposed.

Congregational Meetings - January 31, 2010

A “Special Congregational Meeting” was called by the Christ Church Council on Sunday, January 31, 2010 at 11:45 AM in the worship center.  The purpose of the meeting and the only agenda item was to vote on the following resolution:  “The congregation of Christ Lutheran Church in Otsego, MN, hereby terminates its relationship with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.”  A quorum of voting members was present.  The official vote was 160 in favor of the resolution and 8 opposed.  A 2/3rds majority was required for passage.

The Christ Church “Annual Congregational Meeting” was called to order on January 31, 2010 immediately following the “Special Congregational Meeting.”  Items on the agenda included 2009 Ministry Highlights, 2010 Goals and Plans, 2009 Financial Reports, approval of the 2010 Operating Budget, and Church Council and Nominating Committee elections.

 

Open Forums were held on January 11, 2010 and January 21, 2010 at  7 PM in the worship center.
