Christ Church hosts a number of gathering events throughout the year, so check the calendar often to see what’s coming up. 

Family Gatherings

This fall we will be sharing together in a sermon series called “Transformed Families.”  This series will provide teaching, encouragement, hope and practical help for families desiring to grow in the Christ-like qualities that lead to transformation.   Our goal is to really give a big “boost in the Lord” to families of every shape and size and place in life.  It is also our desire to strengthen our whole Christ Church family and reach-out to those around us.  So, in addition to worship, there are many other wonderful opportunities being planned to touch the lives of people of all ages!  To that end, our Church Council and Staff are proposing that we end this summer season with some “family gatherings.” 

There will be two different opportunities for you to choose from:

• Thursday, August 26 from 7 - 8:30 PM
• Monday, August 30 from 7 - 8:30 PM

Community Bible Study

Beginning September 16, 2010 a community-wide Bible study, "Light Designed Studies" is meeting at Central Lutheran Church in Elk River.  Ten teachings on Thursdays from 7-8:30 PM to help us understand why we believe and what we believe offered by Pastor Bruce Olson.

Worship in the Park

Join us Sunday, September 19 at 10:00 AM for a Worship Service at Otsego Prairie Park.  Stay for a free picnic lunch, music and children's games.

Welcome Lunch
Have you worshipped with us less than a year? Do you want to take the next step in getting to know us as a congregation? Join us for a light lunch after Worship on Oct. 17. This Welcome lunch will provide you an overview of our church and ministries. You’ll meet other people and hear about upcoming opportunities. Sign-up on our website, completing a connection Card in Worship or by calling the church office.

Trunk or Treat
On Sunday, Oct. 31 the whole community is invited to our first TRUNK OR TREAT in the church parking lot. All are invited to participate either by “dressing up” their vehicle and handing out “treats” from their trunk OR “dressing up” themselves and getting treats from others trunks. More details to follow.

Market Place Ministry

The Marketplace Ministry Group usually meets at Denny’s in Otsego on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of the month from 7 – 8:15 AM. This group is open to all who want to go deeper in the application of work-place ministry concepts. The group will be taking the summer off and starting up again in the fall.

Family Advent Fair
Set the date in your calendar: Sunday afternoon, Nov. 28 will be a fantastic, fun time for families of all ages to experience together ways to build family memories throughout the whole Christmas season. More details will be coming later-for now just save the date; you won’t want to miss it!
