Christ Church Plans Move to New Location
In 2006, in response to the highway expansion and the encroaching commercial development around us, we began a year-long process of prayer, ministry assessment, and planning for the future. We asked for discernment and God answered our prayers. In the spring of 2007, the congregation voted unanimously to purchase 37 acres of property in the center of Otsego and begin plans for eventual relocation. We believe that the decision will Enlarge the Harvest of our mission and ministries for generations to come!

To prepare for this exciting future, we have adopted six specific strategies:

1. Continue to grow our congregation in unity, spiritual maturity and generosity as we reach out to our communities and world.
2. Continue to service our current property and facilities and implement creative interim solutions to accommodate our growing ministries.
3. Enter into a 2-year capital campaign beginning in the fall of 2007 to fund this transitional period of preparation and planning.
4. Complete a new facility design over the next 12-18 months involving the congregation in the planning process under the leadership of our Facilities Development Team and Church Council.
5. Complete site development and infrastructure upgrades at our new property including roads, utilities and site grading.
6. Prepare to sell the existing property and begin the building process!

While many of us share the wonderful memories of nearly twenty years of ministry at our present location, we also know that the church is not the building. God has richly blessed us with many gifts in our staff and congregation. Every member of Christ Church is needed to help Enlarge the Harvest for Jesus Christ!
